  • Aprons were worn daily by 18th century women.  Handwoven tape was made by women in their homes and apron ties are one of many uses for tape!

This particular kit is special, because it is based off an extant apron (circa 1776) in the Colonial Williamsburg Collection.  The original apron is featured in teh June 2020 edition of Early American Life Magazine.  The linen tape ties in this kit are replicas of the originals.
