This Cotswold wool is from Happy Girl, one of our resident Cotswold ewes. Cotswold sheep were brought to America from the Cotswold Hills of Englad, possibly as early as 1780, but definitely by the 1830s. This breed is listed as 'threatened by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy today, because of its low population. This is a long staple wool.
