This handwoven blue and white tape is perfect for apron ties! The white yarn is a beautiful linen that mimics the look of handspun yarn, giving it beautiful variation along the length of the tape. The blue yarn is a linen/cotton blend. The tape is 7/16’’ wide and inspired by an original blue and white checked linen apron made between 1775 and 1780. The original apron has white and blue tape ties woven on a tape loom. This apron is featured in “Fitting and Proper” by Sharon Ann Burnston.

This tape would pair beautifully with a blue and white checked linen fabric! There are two options:

1: Pair- sold as a pair of two ties- each 37” in length and hemmed on one end to prevent unraveling. The other end is left un-hemmed and ready to tack into your apron waistband.

2: Single Long- sold as one continuous tape, 2 1/2 yards long and hemmed on each end. This style is for those planning to insert the tape into the waistband. This type of tape tie can later be removed from the waistband.
